Gorki in Puszcza Kampinoska National Park

'House on the Prairie' (my name) was a delightful place and the owner a charming lady. Close by the church in Brochow where the composer and pianist Chopin was christened.

On the outskirts of Warszava the Policia draw alongside and direct me to use the cyclepath - ironic as I have endeavoured to use them in all circumstances! On this occasion I wasn't sure the pavement doubled up for cycling but it was good advice as the roads were getting busier approaching the capital.

Surprised to see the skyline filled with high rise buildings the new town is removed from the old town which has a great atmosphere and, although largely rebuilt (like just about everything in Poland after the devastation of the war and Communist rule), it is a delightful centre.

Sandra had arrive in the early hours and  was waiting! It was wonderful to see her!
