Moscow

My Euro Velo Capitals Route 2 journey comes to an end at the gates of the Kremlin.

My back streets route planning has brought me here safely via the astonishing impressive and monumental Victory Square at Poklonnaya Gora - dedicated to the Russian victory over the Fascists in the Great Patriotic War (WWII as we know it). A holocaust memorial is an unforgettably moving work of art.

I will continue with images of Moscow for a couple of days before flying home......

  3. Yes, Tom - your girls say it best! Well done and a bottle of Champagne to be opened when I see you next. A most impressive feat enhanced by the fantastic photos and history/culture updates as you went. That Holocaust sculpture looks truly amazing.
Congratulations. Love and best wishes, Doug

  7. The durability of the bike is unquestionable after this journey where dust and gravel roads have been so common since leaving Germany. Moscow has revealed itself quietly and Star City has been a unique experience - thankyou xx

  9. Thanks Alexander. I know how much you love that 'Silk Road'. An Iranian family I got to know in the Kremlin Lights hostel were very engaging. Iran maybe?

The channel seems wider now we (they) voted out of the EU 😢

My stay with you was one of the highlights of my journey and I hope we will meet up again one day - in Wales perhaps!

Life is a serious business in Belarus and Russia!!!
