A minor bike issue was corrected at the bike shop but a persistent gears issue continued through the day.
Poznan, rebuilt in Renaissance style is nevertheless atmospheric.
It felt much hotter today. The dust toad options were fewer and the roads intense. Arriving at Czeremcha Hotel was a relief and I was greeted as 'Tommy'..... which I haven't been called for a very long time now!
An 18th Birthday celebration was getting under way and the atmosphere was upbeat. Later I was offered and accepted party food and chatted with very smartly turned out friends. A most sociable and courteous group of mature 18 year olds who learn and Speak English with a crazy English teacher at school. All were keen to go on to study medicine. Roland (with the memorable name 😉) and his lovely friend suggested a 'selfie'.
To the group of young people thanks for chatting and taking an interest in my journey and background. I am confident you will find success in your future careers.
How lovely to be able to socialise with the next generation and they look so young and attractive :)
