Cosmonauts in Space

Fantastic exhibition in the Science Museum visited last Friday. On display, the Vostok return capsule which brought back the first woman in space, Tereshkova (standing alongside).





The battered and scorched Russian Soyuz return capsule now the only means of transport to and from the International Space Station, Major Tim Peake will be transported back to Earth in one like this!
Russian lunar landing craft (engineering model), never launched as American lunar module got there first!

EuroVelo 2: Capital city of London



Meininger Hostel is a must for the traveller at £15 next to the Natural History and Science Museums. Bike and baggage stored freely for the day and superior standard in all respects.

EuroVelo 2: London

With patience it is possible to safely cycle into the centre and towpaths are finally replaced with cycle paths. I doubt seriously that many touring cyclists could enjoy negotiating endless potholes and puddles on the towpaths.
Tomorrow the business of Russian visa biometrics and the Science Museum "Cosmonauts in Space".
